Education Programmes

SSERD trust’s educational program is not only concentrated on core subjects for children but they also educate people who are below the poverty line to earn. We enlighten and educate about the present worldly affairs and get practical knowledge in life. Our Educational adoption program goes beyond merely sponsoring education. It enables you to involve yourself in a child's all-round growth.

Achievements

Initiated after school coaching centers at 13 villagesin and around Pudupalayam Block located in Tiruvannamalai outskirt. Out of which, coaching centers located at three villages viz. Karappatu, Nandhimangalam and Ramasamypuram are funded and managed on our own. The total number of beneficiaries through 3 centers are about 225 students (education along with food support) and in overall Pudupalayam block the total beneficiaries are more than 1000 children.

With the support of Tamilnadu Government, training programs on weaving of Mats and making of baskets using bamboo were organized at placesVilvarani and Melarani. More than 100 women were benefitted.

With the support ofTamilnadu Government, a survey under Participatory Rural Appraisal Scheme (PRA) for the development of agricultural land and watershed construction was conducted at 12 villages in Pudupalayam Block at Tiruvannamai District. Based on the survey’s report, Land Levelling, Construction of Farm Pond & Check Dam, the development of Agricultural and Horticultural activities had been taken up.

The trust also participated in Integrated Wasteland Development programs in support to the government of Tamilnadu. 14 Villages of Pudupalayam Block, 42 Villages of Thellar Block, 44 Villages of ThandaramPattu Block and 32 Villages of Vandavasi Block were entirely benefitted.

The trust has inaugurated and successfully conducted the plantation of saplings in 132 villages to support the environmental Protection.

The trust has been actively participating and playing a key role in organizing health awareness camps with the support of Primary Health Clinic. Recently Corona Awareness Program has been organized at Karappatu Village.
